CHIPPEWA YACHT CLUB
CLUB LEADERSHIP

Chippewa Yacht Club is managed by a dedicated team of six officers and five trustees. Together, these individuals draw on their passion for sailing and their devotion to CYC to ensure the smooth running of the organization in accordance with the Constitution and Club Rules.

The positions of Commodore, Vice Commodore, and Rear Commodore see to the day-to-day management and maintenance of the club, dock facilities, race committee boat, clubhouse, club boats, and grounds. Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian manage administrative functions and maintain club records.
Trustees advise on long-range planning, financing, membership goals, capital improvements, and ways and means for expansion.
The positions of Commodore and Vice Commodore are assumed automatically by the previous year’s Vice Commodore and Rear Commodore, respectively. Rear Commodore, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Trustee-At-Large are elected by CYC members annually. Each past Commodore serves as a Trustee for a term of three years. Trustees-At-Large serve for two-year terms.

The transfer of responsibility occurs each fall at the annual Awards Banquet and Change-of-Watch Ceremony.
